Kevin Kisner expresses concern for Tiger Woods following DUI arrest in Florida

Kevin Kisner, an American PGA Tour professional with four career victories, and a teammate of Tiger Woods on Jupiter Links in the TGL golf league, voiced concern over Woods' arrest on driving under the influence charges in Florida.[1][2]

Kisner made the comments Saturday during NBC's broadcast booth coverage of the PGA Tour's Houston Open at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas.[3]

"Very disturbing. He was really working hard on his game, trying to practice and get back in shape," Kisner said. He noted that Woods had entered the U.S. Senior Open the previous day and was preparing to aid the TGL team and compete at the Masters Tournament.[4]

"Just a really unfortunate incident, I guess, Brad [Faxon]. The only positive is that nobody was injured in the incident and we can all move forward and hopefully help him get better," Kisner added.[4]

On Friday, Woods was involved in a rollover crash in Jupiter Island, Florida, when his vehicle collided with another car at high speed and rolled onto its driver's side, according to Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek. Woods, who was alone in the vehicle, exhibited signs of impairment during roadside tests despite breathalyzer results showing no alcohol presence. He refused a requested urine test.[5][6]

Woods was charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI, property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. He was booked into Martin County Jail and released later Friday after posting bail. No injuries were reported.[5][6]

Woods, a 15-time major champion, has not issued a public comment on the incident. He recently returned to TGL competition following multiple back surgeries and treatment for a torn Achilles tendon.[1][2]
