AEW Grand Slam France Delivers Title Chaos Under the Eiffel Tower

AEW made its first-ever trip to France on Tuesday night, staging Grand Slam France from the Adidas Arena in Paris with a card stacked around four championships. Bandido's Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Title, Darby Allin's TNT Title, the Women's World Title and Will Ospreay's AEW World Heavyweight Title were all on the line, while the Clockwork Carnage qualifying tournament for WrestleDream continued with a marquee showdown between Samoa Joe and Jack Perry. The French crowd, split evenly and vocal throughout, gave the show an atmosphere AEW has rarely tapped into on North American television.

The opener set the tone emphatically. Bandido defended his ROH World Title against Kofi in a contest that blended showmanship with hard-edged athleticism, both men trading near-falls and signature spots before Bandido escaped with the 21-Plex to retain. The finish was complicated by a brewing conflict at ringside involving Brody King, Austin Creed, Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page, a subplot that promises further fallout in the weeks ahead. Fans following the promotion's build toward WrestleDream, including those tracking the sport through outlets that also cover broader combat and betting markets such as cricket betting id platforms, will note AEW is clearly setting up multiple storylines simultaneously rather than resolving them in isolation. cricket betting id

Samoa Joe's return to in-ring competition carried real stakes, with a Clockwork Carnage qualifying spot on the line against Jack Perry. Joe dominated long stretches with his trademark chops and suplexes, but Perry's resilience made it competitive before a late spit to the face proved costly, allowing Joe to land the Muscle Buster for the win. It was a measured step back into regular action for Joe, who looked sharp without being rushed into anything beyond his current form suggests he's ready for.

Continental and TNT Title Pictures Take Shape

Jon Moxley teamed with Gabe Kidd against Mark Davis and Jake Doyle in a hard-hitting undercard clash that ended with Davis pinning Kidd following a piledriver. The result effectively sets up Davis as Moxley's next Continental Title challenger heading into WrestleDream, continuing the structured challenger system AEW has leaned on throughout the title's reign. Meanwhile, Darby Allin's TNT Title defense against Kyle Fletcher turned violent early, spilling to the floor and through ringside tables, underscoring how physically committed both men were to making this a signature Grand Slam moment.

Why Paris Matters for AEW's Global Push

Staging Grand Slam outside the United States for the first time is a notable step for AEW as it looks to grow internationally, mirroring strategies other major promotions and leagues have used to expand into European and global markets. The reaction inside the Adidas Arena, loud, multilingual and fully invested in both the wrestling and the storylines, suggested there is genuine appetite for the product beyond its traditional base. With WrestleDream and the Clockwork Carnage match now fully in focus, this card leaves several threads, from the Strickland-Page tension to the Continental Title picture, that will shape AEW's next chapter.
